To our beloved Trans Joy community,
Yesterday’s election results have left many of us feeling heavy, uncertain, anxious, and perhaps even afraid. All of these feelings are valid. Let yourself feel them today; take a deep breath, close your eyes, and be present with yourself. And when you’re ready, slowly open your eyes and read on.
Adam and I created Trans Joy with the mission to rewrite the narrative around our beautiful community. We work every day to create spaces that celebrate our love, joy, talent, creativity, kindness, and resilience. We fundraise to help make joyful living more accessible to our community through support with housing, healthcare, and other essential resources. And we are here for the long haul, come what may, because that has always been our goal—no matter the political environment.
If you know only one thing today, let it be this:
YOU ARE LOVED.
We remain fully committed to our work—to continue celebrating the beauty within our community, to raise funds that allow us to create joyful, multigenerational spaces for trans and nonbinary people and their loved ones, and to provide grants whenever possible to those who need them. Most days, we will celebrate together. And some days, we will mourn together.
But know this—We will ALWAYS rise together.
In difficult moments like this, I hold close Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s words: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” While that arc may feel distant today, remember: it bends because of each and every one of us—our existence, our resilience, our courage, and our commitment to one another.
Trans Joy is here, now more than ever. We are doubling down on our work. And you can count on us to stand by you in every way we are able.
If you are looking for a small way to support our work, we have several fun items in our shop that will allow you to show your pride and silidarity here:

In solidarity we rise,
Andrew and the Trans Joy team
