Celebrating Our Milestones at Trans Joy

Wow, its been a minute since tending to our Trans Joy blog. We have been so busy getting the work done to turn this organization into a sustainable business. We have so much more we want to do, but its important to take a beat in life to enjoy the view. We have so much to to celebrate!

Official Non-Profit Status

As of a few weeks ago, Trans Joy is officially a non-profit organization! This designation opens new doors for us to reach more people, grow our mission, and provide even stronger support to our community. It will also help lower some of our costs - running a business takes money. We pay for web hosting, various design applications, hosting events, making products, etc. All of this, for the end goal of spreading joy within our community and beyond. So every saved penny lets us stretch our budget that much further.

Plus, our donors will now be able to claim their contributions on their taxes - everyone wins!

Successful Events

Thanks to the wonderful turnout and energy from our Trans Joy community, we’ve hosted several multigenerational, family friendly community events that were filled with joy, solidarity, and connection. Each event has brought us closer, deepening our commitment to spreading joy and support within the trans and nonbinary community.

Launch of Trans Joycast

We also launched the Trans Joycast podcast yesterday, hosted by Adam and me. Our dream for the podcast is for it become a source of inspiration and connection, bringing conversations, stories, and positivity to listeners everywhere. We would love for it to get enough traction for us to be able to monitize it, further funding our ability to expand the mission of the business.

Raising $12,000 for the Beacon Grant

Through our community's incredible generosity and belief in our mission, we’ve raised an amazing $12,000 for our Beacon Grant, which goes toward supporting our programs and future community-building initiatives. Every dollar makes a difference, and we’re deeply grateful for the impact it has already had. We are on a mission to raise the remaining $5,000 of our commitment by the end of the year.

There's probably a whole lot more to be said here, but I am going to wrap this up, and take a moment to sit back and appreciate the journey to this point. As we continue to grow, we are excited to see what the future holds and to celebrate even more milestones together. Thank you, truly, for being such an important part of the journey.
