Welcome to Trans Joy, a place where connection, visibility, and community come together to uplift Trans lives.

Our story began nearly a decade ago in a rented church space where we both played in a jazz band. Since then, we have bonded over our shared love of music, soccer, woodworking, flag football, and the similarities and differences in our experiences as Trans men. Our friendship is at the heart of why we started Trans Joy.

Through our own journeys, we have experienced the profound power of being seen and of seeing other transgender people thrive. Representation matters. Community matters. Visibility matters. We created Trans Joy to celebrate those truths and to provide opportunities for trans people of all ages to connect, learn from one another, and build lasting relationships. Together, we are committed to creating meaningful experiences that strengthen our community and showcase the resilience, creativity, and joy that define our lives.

Trans Joy was born from conversations within our community about coming out, finding support, navigating life's challenges, and imagining what becomes possible when transgender people are able to see thriving examples of themselves in the world.

We recognized that one of the most powerful tools for change is visibility. When people encounter authentic stories, meaningful relationships, and positive representations of Trans lives, perspectives shift and communities grow stronger. We knew we wanted to help create those opportunities by bringing people together across generations and experiences.

Our mission is to build and strengthen the Trans community through free intergenerational events that foster connection, belonging, and mutual support.
